The International Symposium on Transdisciplinary Approach for Knowledge Co-Creation in Sustainability (ISTAKCOS) is a biannual event held by the Center for Transdisciplinarity and Sustainability Science (CTSS) IPB University. In 2024, CTSS IPB University in collaboration with KRKP and supported by Low Carbon Rice will hold the 4th ISTAKCOS. The theme of The 4th ISTAKCOS is:
Ecosystem Resilience for Environmental & Economic Sustainability, and Social Justice
The purpose of the 4th ISTAKCOS 2024 is to provide a forum for sharing knowledge, research, and experience in the application of transdisciplinary science and sustainability science; support the development of international collaborative research in transdisciplinary fields and sustainability science, and seek cooperation in the development of sustainability science.
The 4th ISTAKCOS 2024 will be held hybrid from Bogor at October, 2-3 2024. The symposium will take place for two days. The symposium will begin on the first day with invited keynote speeches from influential speakers. The research from the oral presenters will be presented on the second day. Each presenter will have 15 minutes in the breakout room to present their research.

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.
Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study’s country.
An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you’re satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Authors are only allowed to send 2 abstracts, consisting of 1 abstract as the main author, and 1 abstract as a co-author. Authors must prepare their papers using Microsoft Word, according to the guidelines and templates.

Authors are required to send full paper and proof of payment according to the package chosen after the abstract is announced. To prepare a full paper, the author must pay attention to the following things:
All published articles are peer reviewed. Journal’s policy recommends using mainly blinded peer review and multiple independent reviewers. All papers will be checked for plagiarism and the maximum plagiarism is 20%.
Authors must disclose whether they have a financial relationship with the organization that sponsored the research.
