Yulia Sugandi has PhD in Anthropology and Sociology from the Institute of Ethnology, University of Muenster,Germany, a MSc in Sociology and Intercultural Counselling Programme from the University of Eastern Finland as well as Bachelor in Sociology from Gadjah Mada University. Yulia is an independent educator and researcher whose main interest is in supporting organic social change and social-ecological justice. She has over 18 years direct working experience of development programmes through employment as Director, Coordinator, Consultant and Board member of various projects and combines this with teaching and researching social equity and inclusive development, positive peace and human ecology. Yulia taught ethno-ecology, ethno-development, eco feminism and social inclusion at Rural studies, Doctorate program, Faculty of Human Ecology, IPB University. Her concern about the importance of eco-leaderships that support social-ecological justice, encouraged her involvement in writing Green Growth Curricula Module for Equity and Social Inclusion for civil servants (echelon 1-4) at the State Administration Institute in collaboration with the Global Green Growth Institute.
